SwimSafer Stage 2 is the second level of the SwimSafer programme and is designed for participants who have completed SwimSafer Stage 1. The programme is targeted at children aged 6 years and above and focuses on building on the foundation of swimming skills and water safety knowledge acquired in Stage 1. SwimSafer Stage 2 consists of four progressive stages, each designed to build on the skills and knowledge acquired in the previous stage. The programme covers essential water safety knowledge, such as treading water and recognizing dangers in and around water. Participants also learn more advanced swimming skills, such as different strokes and breathing techniques. The programme culminates in a practical assessment, which measures the participant's swimming ability and water safety knowledge.
SwimSafer Stage 2 is an excellent way for children to further develop their swimming skills and water safety knowledge. The programme is designed to be engaging and fun, making it an enjoyable experience for participants. Qualified swimming instructors who are experienced in working with children teach the programme. Participants who complete SwimSafer Stage 2 gain valuable life skills that will benefit them throughout their lives, including a sense of confidence in and around water and a deeper understanding of water safety. SwimSafer Stage 2 also serves as an excellent foundation for participants to progress to higher levels of the SwimSafer programme and to pursue more advanced swimming programmes. By completing SwimSafer Stage 2, participants are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to stay safe in and around water and to enjoy swimming as a healthy and fun activity.
The Swimsafer Stage 2 is designed to be a stranded testing system.
The learner do not have to hold a pre-requisite certification in order to attend the higher test stages. For example, the learner is not required to attend SwimSafer Stage 1 before he/she attends Swimsafer Stage 2, because all test levels are independent and certified coaches can send their kids to either level which they deem suitable.
All SwimSafer participants are required to complete the SwimSafer Quiz and achieve 90% to pass the test with unlimited attempt.
