Check current pool availability
Bukit Batok Swimming Complex is normally closed every Wednesday, and ActiveSG sometimes closes the whole complex or a single pool for maintenance or events. ActiveSG has not confirmed that the competition pool has reopened after its August 2026 maintenance closure, so we confirm which pool your lesson will use before you pay. The visitor guide lists current notices and normal hours.

Bukit Batok Swimming Complex is a public pool, so lessons take place alongside other swimmers. A female-coach request does not mean women-only surroundings.
How a Bukit Batok booking works
- You enquire with the learner’s age, current water confidence, any health or support needs, goals and two or three time windows.
- We check for a coach who is free then, suits the learner and can teach at Bukit Batok at that hour, in a pool that is open.
- We confirm in writing: coach name, format, day and time, meeting point, package, total price and what is not included (pool admission is paid separately to ActiveSG).
- You pay only after you accept that confirmation.
Pool opening hours do not mean a lesson is possible at any of those hours. A slot exists only when we have confirmed it.
Lesson formats
- Private (1 learner : 1 coach). Best for nervous beginners, adults, and anyone with a specific goal.
- Pair (2 learners : 1 coach). Siblings or friends at a similar level.
- Small group (3 or more : 1 coach). Learners at a similar level; group size is confirmed when you enquire.

Prices can change; the total, lesson length, group size and any extra costs are confirmed in writing before payment.
Not included: pool admission, paid at the counter at ActiveSG rates by each learner and any accompanying adult who enters the pool area. Current rates are in the visitor guide.
Meeting point and handover
- The coach meets the learner at the agreed point at the agreed time.
- A parent or guardian hands over a child to the coach and collects them at the end.
- The coach is responsible only for the booked learner(s). Siblings and other children must be supervised by their own adult.
Weather, lightning and closures
When lightning is detected nearby, the pool is cleared and the lesson pauses. If ActiveSG closes the pool, we will contact you to reschedule or, with your agreement, suggest another venue before any payment for it.
Make-up lessons and cancellations
Ask about make-up and cancellation terms when you enquire. They are confirmed in writing with your booking and follow our terms and conditions.
SwimSafer
Lessons can practise skills from the SwimSafer programme. An ordinary lesson is not automatically SwimSafer registration, assessment or certification. SwimSafer West assessments have moved temporarily from Bukit Batok to Jurong West Swimming Complex, which ActiveSG expects to last until March 2027. Always go to the venue in your assessment booking confirmation.
What lessons can and cannot do
Lessons help learners build water confidence, swimming technique and water-safety skills. We cannot promise a result after a set number of lessons, and no lesson makes anyone drown-proof. Children still need close adult supervision around water.

FAQs
Do you run lessons at Bukit Batok every day?
No. Lessons happen only at times we have confirmed with a coach, and the complex is closed every Wednesday.
Is pool entry included?
No. Pool admission is paid to ActiveSG separately.
Is Bukit Batok the same as Bukit Gombak?
No. These lessons are at Bukit Batok Swimming Complex, 2 Bukit Batok Street 22. Bukit Gombak Sport Centre is a separate venue.
Can you book a lane for us?
No. Lessons take place in the public pool alongside other users, in an area the coach chooses on the day based on crowd levels and safety.
Is Swim2u part of ActiveSG?
No. Swim2u Pte Ltd is an independent lesson provider.
