SwimSafer Gold is the highest level of the SwimSafer programme and is designed for individuals who have completed the SwimSafer Silver programme. The programme is targeted at individuals who are proficient in swimming and have a deep understanding of water safety. The SwimSafer Gold programme consists of six progressive stages, each designed to build on the skills and knowledge acquired in the SwimSafer Silver programme. The programme covers advanced swimming techniques, including long-distance swimming, rescue drills, and diving. Participants are also required to complete a theory component covering advanced water safety knowledge and understanding of aquatic environments. The programme concludes with a series of practical assessments, which measure the participant's swimming ability and water safety knowledge.
The SwimSafer Gold programme is an excellent way for individuals to further develop their swimming skills and water safety knowledge. The programme is designed to challenge participants and push them to their limits, helping them to develop a sense of confidence and resilience. Participants are taught by qualified swimming instructors who are experienced in working with individuals and who are committed to ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The programme also encourages individuals to take responsibility for their own safety in and around water, and to develop a sense of responsibility towards others. By completing the SwimSafer Gold programme, individuals are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to stay safe in and around water, and they are well-prepared to progress to higher levels of swimming programmes. The Swimsafer Gold is designed to be a stranded testing system.
The learner do not have to hold a pre-requisite certification in order to attend the higher test stages. For example, the learner is not required to attend SwimSafer Silver before he/she attends Swimsafer Gold, because all test levels are independent and certified coaches can send their kids to either level which they deem suitable.
All SwimSafer participants are required to complete the SwimSafer Quiz and achieve 90% to pass the test with unlimited attempt.
