Advancement and Accreditation in KBH Swimming Lessons for Children

Swimming lessons at SSI are carefully planned to guide swimmers from getting comfy in the water to advanced skills and team prep. Here’s the breakdown of how it all works:

1. Aquatike (I, II, III): This first program is divided into three levels for the little ones. Starting with Aquatike I, where babies and toddlers get used to the water and basic movements. In Aquatike II, they begin to move independently with basic strokes, and by Aquatike III, they’re coordinating more complex patterns and learning basic water safety. So cute, right?

2. Pre-School: For the pre-school kiddos, this stage focuses on building a solid swimming foundation. They learn proper strokes, breath control, and gain confidence to swim more independently, gearing them up for the beginner level.

3. Beginner: This is where the fundamental skills get polished. Swimmers are taught the core strokes – freestyle and backstroke – and start building the stamina needed for more advanced levels. The focus here is on technique, safety, and boosting their confidence in the water.

4. Intermediate: Once they’ve nailed the basics, swimmers move on to intermediate classes to improve stroke mechanics and learn competitive strokes like breaststroke and butterfly. They also pick up skills like flip turns and starts. Exciting stuff!

5. Advanced: In advanced classes, all four competitive strokes are refined, speed and efficiency are improved, and endurance is emphasized. Swimmers also learn advanced water safety and rescue techniques, which is perfect for those thinking about lifeguarding or other aquatic roles.

6. Swim Team Prep: This stage is for those eyeing competitive swimming. It focuses on physical conditioning and technical refinement for swim meets, including starts, turns, and race strategies. Ready to compete?

Each level in SSI’s curriculum is designed to build the necessary skills and confidence for the next stage, ensuring smooth development in swimmers’ abilities. As they progress, learners get certificates and badges to celebrate their achievements.
